Guest Stamper from the UK!

Today I have a guest stamper to introduce to you! Her name is Carol Morgan and she is from the UK. She created the most adorable Christmas card using the Stampin' Up! Scallop Circle Punch. Carol & I became virtual friends through my blog and Facebook page. Check out her blog at called Aunty Carol's Publications. It's great to see people from all over the world taking part in the same hobby with their own style and creativity. Thank you Carol for letting me share your work with everyone!

Here is Carol's recipe & directions for creating this card:
Christmas Tree - SU scallop circle punch, white ink, green and red card stock (Core'dinations core color Scarlet and fern)
Gold peel off sentiment

On the tree I used gold 'bits' left from other other peel offs. Sponge the edge of the scallop circle with white ink. When dry cut into heart shapes. Lay 3 for the bottom of the tree with the center one on top of the others. Then layer up with 2 hearts with their edges touching, add the top one as shown on tree. Decorate and add a brad or gem for the top of the tree.

I'll be back with an easy to make Halloween decoration for your home!

Relax with Stampin Up Trendy Trees

Let’s take a break and dream about retirement for a moment. What do you envision? I see myself retiring at the youngest age possible, a little travel here and there, and much more time to stamp and scrapbook! I have a long way to go but we can dream about it, right?

While I dream about retirement, others are getting ready to live it! Why not send them well wishes with a handmade “Happy Retirement” card? Any excuse to make a card, right? Stampin Up Trendy Trees is such a serene stamp set to me. I think just about all my regular customers have purchased this set. It’s been poplar. I thought it was a perfect match for a retirement card.

The background paper is from the Stampin’ Up! Patterns Designer Series Paper. Check out the selection on page 161 of the current catalog. You get 12 sheets of paper in the color of your choice with 12 different designs all in one package! With one package, you get an amazing selection of designs to mix & match that all coordinate. It doesn’t get much easier than that! Try out a package. You won’t be disappointed!

Who Needs Stamps - Emboss It!

Ok, so I did use a stamp on this but it's just one little word. The majority of this creation was created using the Stampin' Up! Sizzix Simple Flower Embosslit and a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. The layout was inspired by last weeks Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge (SC217). The color mix was from another challenge. I had to use Cameo Coral, Tempting Turquoise, and Chocolate Chip. Cameo Coral is probably one of my least favorite Stampin' Up! colors so it was a stretch for me to use this.

The photo to the right is a little darker because I wanted to capture how I chalked the edges in Chocolate Chip around the Cameo Coral. Hopefully you can see it in this picture. Chalking is difficult to photograph because it's so subtle.

So TGIF in a big way! The weather is going to be warm this weekend. I need hit Kohls for a few things this weekend. I am working with a bride-to-be on custom wedding invitations. I'm always busy with something! It's all good!

Be sure to stop back soon or subscribe to my blog in the upper left hand corner to automatically get e-mailed when I post. I was having difficulty with Feedblitz, but it seems to be fixed now. Please let me know if you subscribe and are not receiving updates. Thank you very much!!!

Enjoy your day and happy stamping!

10 Teeth on the Top, 10 Teeth on the Bottom

When the hygienist asked my son at his first dentist appointment how many teeth he had, he put out both hands - fingers spread wide, and said "ten" (see photo at the bottom of the first layout). Sure enough she counted 10 on top and 10 on the bottom. This woman was amazing. She talked to him so sweet and sang songs while she was cleaning them. When I made the appointment they asked if I wanted the pediatric hygienist. I never knew there was such a thing. I never went to one! Now I know and highly recommend one!!

I took Monday (yesterday) off for an "all about me" day. I had high hopes for all kinds of stuff I wanted to get done. Remember I mentioned in the last post I was fighting a cold? The cold won! I am down & out sick. The only thing I did was keep my massage appointment. It was heavenly. Oh well! It happens. The good part is she asked me if I work out. I was stunned. I have some much needed weight to lose. I replied that I do and she said she could tell by how tight my muscles are. That made me smile!

In the afternoon, I finished this layout I've been meaning to get done. I don't use stamps that often in my scrapbooking, but it worked out in this layout. The "way to B" is from SU! Just B set.

Enjoy the last week of February! I'll be back soon with another card creation. Hope you don't mind the scrapbooking pages mixed in here & there. Take care.

you crack me up

A Good Egg is one of my all time favorite Easter stamp sets from Stampin' Up! It's so cute and I just love the saying "you crack me up". It also comes with a "happy easter" greeting too. You can have a lot of fun with this set and get creative with it.

I think I need to make a more masculine version of this card for my son for Easter. My idea is to include on the inside of the card some fun things he does that "cracks me up"! It will be a good remembrance to have. Today he slide into my husbands shoes and walked around in them saying he is daddy. He told me I have to call him and daddy, "daddy". I told him those were pretty big shoes to fill and his response was "yep". Does he sound like a 3 year old to you? He always puts a smile on my face!

I hope you are having a great weekend and getting in some scrapbooking or stamping. Thank you for stopping by & I'll be back again soon!

Another Year Older, Another Year Wiser?

Is that how the saying goes? We only get better with age, correct? That is what I keep telling myself at least. I feel I'm getting smarter. Could it be? I do have days though where I feel like I'm losing my mind! Since having a child, I need to make lists and write things down. It angers me I have to do this because I never had to before! Is it because we are so busy and have 10 things going on at once, or do those babies really suck the brains out of you? I can't control it, so I guess I just have to deal with it.

I have a birthday coming up next month. I don't get overly excited about them. I truly enjoy being the gift giver but not the receiver. Even as a kid, I loved handing out cookies and goodie bags on my birthday to my friends.

So since I am tired of making Valentines at this point, it was a breath of fresh air to take out some different stamps from my stash! This one, Crazy for Cupcakes, will never go out of style!

I hope my cupcake photographed ok. I used Liquid Applique to make it look like it was really frosted. This was my first attempt with it, so if you have any tips or advice, let me know! The rest of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of this post.

My son is still checking his Valentines Day mailbox daily. He is so cute. This morning he told me there will be something in there when he gets home tonight. Oh boy! Luckily I had a little bag of Jelly Belly's to stick in there. Whew!

Enjoy your day! God bless.

Cheep Talk

Talk is "cheep", right? I'm only kidding around!!! :)

I'm stuck at work today! While everyone is off and shopping President's Day sales, I am working. Oh well. Over the lunch hour I plan to hit Coldwater Creek. Everything is 25% off today!!!!

Back to Cheep Talk! It's one of the new Stampin' Up! sets in the current catalog. It's so cute! It comes with some cute sayings too! I love to pair up this set with the new Designer Series paper, Good Morning Sunshine. I just think they go so well together.

I made two windows on this card using Nestabilities for the big center square and the Word Window Punch on the bottom. The bird is actully stamped on the inside of the card. I mounted the corners that frame the square window on Stampin' Dimensionals. The saying at the bottom is only on the front of the card. I made it into a window by mounting the patterned paper on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Enjoy your day off and if you are working like me, don't work too hard! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you are having a wonderful Valentine's Day!

I 'm sorry it's been so long since I've posted but my little one was suffering from a bad cold again this week. The evenings were just busy and tiring.

I was able to get done at the last minute this Valentine's Day card for my Mom. I am giving it to her this evening with a big bouquet of mixed flowers from my sister & I. I hope she likes it. She is one of my biggest fans when it comes to crafts. I always feel like I need to make her something extra nice. She was very crafty when we were kids and now she mostly crochets.

I hope your day is filled with love and happiness!

Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

The bottom decorative edge was created using the new Eyelet Border Punch.

So many supplies, so little time! Can you relate??? I'm off to go get ready for church!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Elegant Thank You

TGIF! I was up late last night working in my craft room and on the computer. I was trying to catch up with e-mails and Stampin' Up! business. The Sale-A-Bration starts Sunday & people are getting ready to take full advantage of the sale, including me!

My creation today is a bright one! The patterned paper is from SU! Designer Series Paper called Raspberry Tart. It's new in the catalog and the picture does not do the colors justice. It's so pretty! I combined it with felt flowers, silver brads, and the Elegant Thank You stamp from SU! In the new catalog, SU! has started selling single stamps on page 208. This one caught my eye because it's simple and elegant.

Any plans for the weekend? Football maybe? We were invited to a Super Bowl party. I'm not a big fan of football so whoever wins is fine by me. My husband is a Steelers fan, so he is very excited!

Have a wonderful Friday!!!

Sale-A-Brate the Beauty

The weekend is here again. Time sure does fly by! My little one has been sleeping in lately (knock on wood). Let's hope he is out of that little 6am phase. Oh please! :)

Today's creation I am sharing with you is a card for one of my online friends who creates such beautiful work. It's always nice to send cards out of the blue for out of the ordinary type occasions. Any excuse to create a card, right?

The beautiful, delicate looking patterned paper is a sneak peek from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion effective 2/1/09. It's called Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper. Check out the details on my sidebar on how you can get this paper and several different stamp sets free during this promotion! I also used a Martha Stewart border punch for the center trim, SU! 5-Petal Flower punch, SU! 3/4 circle punch, and Colorbok adhesive metal words (from Michaels $1 bin).

I hope your weekend is fantastic! God bless.

Love You Much

My life has changed! One of the things I enjoy most about the morning is getting up before everyone else (6am) and having my coffee. It's peaceful, quiet, and it's all about me! Not anymore! Since last Thursday or Friday, my son has decided to wake up before anyone else and come wake me up! How in the world does a 3 yr old know to wake up 5:45-6am just before I'm out of bed?

He also told me this morning he wants a brother! We won't even go there. No way, no how, no! I love him to death, but one is plenty!

Speaking of love, there is only about 1 1/2 weeks left to order the Love You Much Bundle from Stampin' Up! I used the stamps and punches from that Bundle, and my favorite die - SU! Top Note Die, to create this V-Day card. I distressed the card edges with SU! Chocolate Chip ink and inked up the stamps in SU! Real Red. I think it's a neat shape for a card!

So have you looked at the new products Stampin' Up! is offering from the Spring-Summer catalog? I'll be sharing my favorites with you in the weeks to come!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Funky Card!

It's been super cold this weekend and I've been wearing my long underwear & I'm still cold! We're actually looking forward to hitting 20 degrees this week. How bad is that? Oh well. It sure makes you appreciate Spring when it finally does arrive.

Yesterday I created this funky card here to the right. I used Stampin' Up Jersey Shore Designer Series Paper (retired) and black cardstock. You can use SU! Circle Cutter (in the new catalog) or Nestabilities for all the different size circles. Then I simply made my own brad using a SU! Pewter Build-A-Brad. I stamped "Hi", from the SU! Fundamental Phrases set, on blue cardstock and then built my brad from that. I added little brads to the bottom of the card to match the polka dot paper.

So do you notice anything different about my blog? I got a much needed blog makeover! Let me know what you think!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by!

P.S. The Spring-Summer 2009 Stampin' Up! Catalog will be online & available to place orders tomorrow! Visit my SU! website.

XOXOXO

Happy Wednesday! It's a good thing to clean and sort through your supplies this time of year. I was looking at all my SU! sets and forgot that the set Fundamental Phrases had "XOXOXO" in it! It's perfect for a Valentine! In the spot where the "O" is, I added little red brads. They fit perfectly into the space. The card is pretty self-explanatory, but if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to e-mail me.

All Supplies for this card by Stampin' Up (unless otherwise noted):
Stamps: Love You Much, Fundamental Phrases
Designer Series Paper: Candy Lane
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Real Red
Ink: Real Red, Close to Cocoa
Punches: Scallop Edge, Word Window
Pink Ribbon
Real Red Brads

My son is such a character lately. First of all, he is still not completely potty trained yet. He will go on his own for the sitter all day, but when he is with Mom & Dad he will go most of the time, but not always. If anyone ever heard of this please let me know! It's crazy!

On a more positive note, he loves to cook! A dream come true for me! As soon as I start cooking dinner he runs in with his stool and stands near the countertop waiting to stir or dish out something. A couple days ago I let him tear up the lettuce for salads and put it in the bowls. He was in heaven. Last night, he got to dish out the applesauce. He thought he was so great! Age 3 appears to be all about independence. The more he can do on his own, the happier he is.

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday To You - With a Cherry on Top!

The holidays have passed, but my tree is still up. Is anyone else in the same boat as me? I hope to tear everything down tomorrow. It's not as exciting as putting it up. Oh well. It's gotta be done!

I decided to take a break from the Valentines Day cards. I needed to make a card for a friend at work who has a birthday on Monday and Stampin' Up! Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set was calling my name! It's just perfect for birthday cards.

I thought the cute little cherries on top of the cupcakes matched the SU! Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper perfectly! It's a little hard to see in the picture, but I used white Fun Flock for the icing on my cupcakes. Just a little something different to add texture.

We are just weeks away from the release of the Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer 2009 catalog! I've seen some previews, and it's going to be great! If you would like me to reserve a copy of the catalog for you, just drop me an e-mail at tiffanymiller1@verizon.net.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thank you for stopping by!

Hugs & Kisses

I am having a blast with the SU! Love You Much Bundle - can you tell? Now that the holidays are over, just have some fun with your card making. The pressure is off! Make Valentines for not only the love in your life, but everyone including your friends & family. Why not! It will make their day!

This card is pretty self explanatory. I paper pierced around the Pretty in Pink (SU!) cardstock center piece and along the red edges I embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. It matches the patterned paper if you look closely. There is a "pinking" edge design in the paper just like my embossed part! It doesn't take much to excite me. Hee hee!

I hope your week is going well! My little one came down with something yesterday. He is better today though - thank goodness! It was nice to snuggle and hold him last night when he wasn't feeling well. Gotta love it!

Take care!

Tiffany

Two Little Love Birds Sitting in a Tree Stampin' Up! Love You Much Bundle 20% Off!

How sweet are these birds? I think I am going to make a similar card with red accents for my husband. Although I love pink, he does not.

You know how much I love to use my Cuttlebug embossing folders! I thought this leafy folder I had would be a perfect nest for my love birds from the Stampin' Up! Love You Much Bundle (currently 20% off). I used Stampin' Pastels to add some soft color to the leaves and stems. I used oval Nestabilities for the cutout window and Pretty in Pink SU! cardstock for the window border.

I stamped my love birds on the inside and added a Valentines Day sentiment.
I was looking at all the pictures I took over the holidays. I have so much to scrapbook! My sister and her family were in town. She has two boys and I have one. The three of them had a blast and I took a million pictures. One of my New Year's resolutions is to get caught up on my scrapbooking. I think I had the same one last year. Too funny! I am also on a mission to lose weight. I think I make that one every year too. Hee hee! At least I'm trying, right? :)
Do you have any New Year's resolutions? I'd love to hear what they are! Drop me a comment or e-mail. I love hearing from you!

Thanks for stopping by!

Tiffany
