Scrapping!

I'm almost finished with my first 6x6 scrapbook album! I've never done any this small. I usually do the 12x12 ones. I think I enjoy the 6x6 more because you are more limited by the amount of pictures and embellishments. It's so much quicker!

I am especially proud of this album for two reasons. First, it's the first book I've completed using all Stampin' Up! products. Secondly, it's a book filled with all my favorite pictures of Brandon photographed alone. This book is just all about him! I know I will enjoy looking at it over and over again.

The page photographed at the top of this post was created using a sheet from the Stampin Up Welcome Neighbor Designer Series Paper Pad which you can receive FREE from the Sale-A-Bration flyer. I also used stamps from three different collections. The complete list of supplies can be found at the bottom of this post.

I am so glad tomorrow is Friday. TGIF! I can't wait to stamp some more this weekend and finish my album. Fun, fun, fun!

Have a good one!

Stampin' Up! Lattice Bigz Die Takes Center Stage

I must say, it's easy to create a card using the Stampin' Up! Lattice Bigz Die! This die does all the work for you. Makes for a quick and easy, yet elegant card!

Here is a list of the Stampin' Up! supplies
I used for this creation:

Stamps: Trendy Trees (#113258 sentiment only)
Ink: Close to Cocoa
Card Stock: Close to Cocoa, Sage Shadow
Designer Series Paper: To The Nines (#114038)
Accessories: Silver Brads
Tools: Big Shot (#113439), Lattice Bigz Die (#115958)

Once you run the Lattice die through your Big Shot, you get all these little shapes to punch out from the cut image. I used them to create a flower at the bottom of the card pictured above, or you could use them as leaves on another creation. I always hate to waste good scraps!
Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini sneak peeks will be coming soon! Wait until you see the new holiday stuff. It's going to be very fun!

Have a great weekend!

Pretty in Pink Returns

I haven't posted a card with pink in awhile and we all know my love for pink! I realized when I uploaded this card that it matches my blog! Bonus! Have you ever seen the movie Pretty in Pink? It's a classic 80's movie! I love it!!!!

This is a simple little card with lots of layers! The card size is 3 x 5.25 and tucks right into Stampin Up Small Open-End Envelopes.

The first layer is Pretty in Pink embossed with the Finial Press Textured Impressions Die. This die is a new one from the current catalog and oh so pretty!

The next layer is a Pretty in Pink 5-Petal Flower with a Whisper White Boho Blossom, Pretty in Pink button (from the Sherbert button collection), and a little pearl from the Pretties Kit in the center of the button.

Lastly, I took a 2.5 x 2.75 square piece of Close to Cocoa cardstock and punched out a 5-Petal Flower to make a window. I attached it with Stampin Dimensionals directly over my Pretty in Pink flower piece.

Now that all the layers are complete, finish it off with a little sentiment at the bottom. I used the "thanks so much" from the Trendy Trees stamp set.

Pink and brown are one of my favorite color combinations. What is your favorite? Leave me a comment and you may see your favorite in an upcoming post.

Have a great day and go rent Pretty in Pink for the weekend! Thanks for visiting my blog today!

The Art of Simplicity

My blogging for the summer months is going to change a bit, but I think you'll appreciate it. Stay with me . . .

Summer goes by so fast and everyone likes to be out and about, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and soaking up the sun. During the next three months I will blogging as I usually do, but the focus for the summer will be The Art of Simplicity.

I will post short and sweet entries with cards & scrapbook pages that you can create in no time. I know we all enjoy the hobby year-round, but during the summer, most of us tend to spend less time crafting. The Art of Simplicity I will share with you this summer will keep you creating and still have time to enjoy your summer activities. Sound good? I sure hope so! You won't be disappointed, I promise.

To kick off my summer theme -The Art of Simplicity, check out the card pictured above!

Here are all the Stampin' Up! materials you will need:

Cardstock: Whisper White and Chocolate Chip

Stamp Set: Trendy Trees

Ink: Green Galore, Chocolate Chip

This Whisper White card is 4.25 x 4.25 inches square. It's a really cute size card - not too big, not too small. I used square Nestabilities to punch out the front 2x2 inch centered window.

To the left of the window I stamped on the side "thinking of you" from the Trendy Trees set in Chocolate Chip Ink.

I stamped one of the trees from the Trendy Trees set on Whisper White cardstock & punched that piece out with square Nestabilities (1.75 inch). I took a 2 inch square of Chocolate Chip, layered that behind my tree piece, and attached the entire piece to the inside of the card matching up directly behind the window.

To finish it off, I added a cute little Chocolate Chip Corduroy Button to the bottom right.

Stay tuned . . . sneak peeks from the new Stampin' Up! Catalog (due out in July) will be posted next week. I can hardly wait!!! Have a wonderful weekend!

Springtime Trendy Trees

I have slowly been bringing out my Easter/Spring decorations to spruce up the house! After Christmas, everything appears so dull and boring. I picked up a new decoration this year that I snuck behind the card I'm sharing with you today. It's a small decorative bird bath with two little birds sitting on the edge. I added a little green berry wreath along the edge to add some color to it. I figured I would put candy in the center. Maybe some chocolate Easter egg candy? Mmmm!

Last week I had a birthday, so I mass produced a bunch of these thank you cards to give to my friends and family. I sure hope they like them and feel the touch of Spring I brought to each card.

The card is pretty self explanatory except for maybe how I did my hills. I drew the two hills freehand on Green Galore cardstock, cut them out, inked the top edges with the Close to Cocoa ink pad, and layered them one on top the other. Does that make sense? If not, leave me a comment or drop me an e-mail. I'd love to help you out with your creations. The spring-like tree stamps are from the Trendy Trees set in the current Stampin' Up! catalog. This has been such a poplar set! Just about every customer of mine has ordered this. It's a very fun set you can use year-round. I can just picture this set in the fall with red, brown, and gold leaves.

Don't forget, the last day to take advantage of the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration is March 31st! Less than 1 week to go. You can order directly from my SU! website or drop me an e-mail at tiffanyscardtique@verizon.net.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting my blog today!

Thinking of you . . . with one hour less of sleep!

Good morning! I'm surprised at myself for saying "good". We turned the clocks forward yesterday which meant 1 hour less of sleep. Not good! My little one was flipping out this morning. He did not want to get up and everything was a bother! His finger hurt where he cut it yesterday, he didn't like the shirt I picked out, he ate his breakfast like a turtle making us late to leave the house. I can stop there! Too funny!

I used Stampin Up Rose Red & Chocolate Chip for my creation today! The patterned paper is SU! retired Designer Series Paper, Recollections. I made my own brad by punching out one of the flowers from the paper and using the Antique Brass Build-A-Brad kit. Does the tree look familiar? Yep, you guessed it - Thoughts & Prayers. The saying is from the Trendy Trees set I will be showing you later this week. I'm into trees lately. I hope you don't mind. I'll get over it. :)

With my coffee in hand, I have to sign off. Busy day at work today. Have a good Monday and early to bed for me tonight!
