I Have A Crush

Don't tell my husband, but I have Stampin' Up! in color Concord Crush! I've never been a big fan of purple until I got my hands on this new in color. You have to see it in person to truly appreciate the richness of this color. It truly looks like a concord grape. I think you'll find yourself with a little crush on it as well.

The design of this creation was inspired from the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge (PPA57) today. In celebration of Tiffany's Cardtique Hostess Week, I used patterned paper from the Designer Series Paper Pack - In Color (hostess level 1). With a purchase of $150+ this paper pack is yours free along with your choice of $15 in Stampin' Up! products.

Take note of the new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch I used in the center of the card. It looks just like ribbon. This punch can be found on page 201 of the Idea Book & Catalog. I just love Stampin' Up! punches. What will they think of next?

Enjoy your day & happy stamping!

Glistening Your Holiday Cards

We had our first snowfall of the season this past weekend. Guess who was the first one out there rolling around in it? Not me! Brandon will turn four years old this weekend and he loves the snow as you can tell from the picture.

When the sun came out Sunday afternoon the snow was glistening. It was the perfect inspiration for making a holiday card using the new Shimmer Paints from the Stampin' Up! holiday mini. I used Frost White on this card. I added a little paint on a sponge and then gently rubbed it over my embossed image and sentiment. I even put a little over the flower and leaves.

I must warn you, the Stampin' Up! Shimmer Paint comes in a very small bottle. When you order it from me, you'll think you've been ripped off. That's what I thought when I received my bottle. Rest assured, a little goes a really long way. I'm not exaggerating!

Don't forget, everything from the Stampin' Up! holiday mini can be ordered through January 4th. This includes all three colors of Shimmer Paint. After that, it's history!

Stampin' Up! is really coming up with some fabulous new products for 2010!!!! We're talking clear stamps and a new punch design. Stay tuned for some sneak peeks!

PPA Featured Artist

Guess who is the Pals Paper Arts feautured artist today? ME!!! It's so much fun to play at PPA! The color challenge (PPA6) was tough! The colors are Stampin' Up! Brocade Blue, Crushed Curry, and Ruby Red. Interesting, isn't it? I hope they liked what I came up with.

If you look closely you'll notice two areas of interest:

1) Very little stamping! I only used one tiny stamp from the Stampin' Up! Always set to fill in my Boho Blossoms.

2) Faux stitching! I didn't feel like pulling out my sewing machine so I used the uni-ball Signo Gel Pen to draw in my stitches.

Stampin' Up! Supply List
Stamps: Always (#113620)
Ink: Crushed Curry
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Crushed Curry,
Brocade Blue, Ruby Red
Designer Series Paper: Bella Bleu (#113974)
Accessories: Sherbert Buttons (#116312),
Very Vanilla 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon
Tools: uni-ball Signo Gel Pen (#105021),
Boho Blossoms Punch (#110711), Ticket Corner Punch (#107214),
5-Petal Flower Punch (#109041)

If you would like additional details on how this card was put together, please leave me a comment or send me an e-mail. I would be more than happy to share!

One more day until the long weekend! We are having house guests so I hope to sneak in some stamping time if I can.

Have a wonderful day and stop back soon!

Pretty in Pink Returns

I haven't posted a card with pink in awhile and we all know my love for pink! I realized when I uploaded this card that it matches my blog! Bonus! Have you ever seen the movie Pretty in Pink? It's a classic 80's movie! I love it!!!!

This is a simple little card with lots of layers! The card size is 3 x 5.25 and tucks right into Stampin Up Small Open-End Envelopes.

The first layer is Pretty in Pink embossed with the Finial Press Textured Impressions Die. This die is a new one from the current catalog and oh so pretty!

The next layer is a Pretty in Pink 5-Petal Flower with a Whisper White Boho Blossom, Pretty in Pink button (from the Sherbert button collection), and a little pearl from the Pretties Kit in the center of the button.

Lastly, I took a 2.5 x 2.75 square piece of Close to Cocoa cardstock and punched out a 5-Petal Flower to make a window. I attached it with Stampin Dimensionals directly over my Pretty in Pink flower piece.

Now that all the layers are complete, finish it off with a little sentiment at the bottom. I used the "thanks so much" from the Trendy Trees stamp set.

Pink and brown are one of my favorite color combinations. What is your favorite? Leave me a comment and you may see your favorite in an upcoming post.

Have a great day and go rent Pretty in Pink for the weekend! Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Delicious Stampin' Up! Recipe - Razzleberry Lemonade with Square Ice!

I was having a creative block this week so I just pulled out my new pack of Stampin' Up! Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper and the juices started flowing! This paper is gorgeous. Does it look a little aged and distressed? I didn't do that . . . it comes that way! Bonus!!! It's so much prettier in person.

Since the Square Fire Rhinestone Brads are on sale this week, I had to show you a use for them! I used a Lilac one from the Ice Square collection for my flower center. A little bling can be the perfect finishing touch to any creation without overdoing it.

I have several things in the works right now, so forgive me for the breaks in between posts. In case you're wondering what I'm working on, my wonderful husband bought me a laptop for my business last month. Now I can use it whenever and wherever I want. It's so nice!

In addition to getting that up & running, I am getting ready to offer a Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper Share and Ribbon Share. I've had a few requests for this since the new paper & ribbons are so gorgeous. Let's face it, we want it all! We can have it all by participating in the share and at a fraction of the cost compared to buying it all individually. Stay tuned for details.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting my blog! Be sure to follow me on Twitter too. Tweet, tweet.

Stampin' Up! 2009-2010 New "In Color" Sneak Peek

I mentioned a few posts ago I'm getting ready for a crafting garage sale in July. Upon weeding through my stamp collection & deciding what to get rid of and what to keep, I came across this stamp from Stampabilities and just love the verse:

Ask and it shall be given to you;
Seek and ye shall find;
Knock and it shall be opened unto you.
Luke 11:9

The challenge in getting ready for this sale is what to keep and what not to. My rule is if I haven't used it in the last 3 years and I don't absolutely love it, it's going. Sound good? If you have any other suggestions, please let me know! What a task it has been!

This week Stampin' Up! is releasing the new catalog on July 1st!!!! I received my complimentary book and I just LOVE so much in there. I'm excited to share it with you! Here is a sneak peek of the new "In Colors" which are breathtaking!
If you would like a catalog, the cost is only $9.95 - shipping/handling is free! I added PayPal button on my right sidebar to make it easy for you to purchase your catalog. If you would like to pay by check, drop me an e-mail at tiffanyscardtique@verizon.net.

Just a reminder too . . . the last day to order any retiring stamps from the Stampin' Up! Last Chance List is June 30th!

Enjoy your weekend and happy stamping!!

Hello Yellow! Stampin Up Sale-A-Bration Ends Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the final day to take advantage of the current Stampin’ Up! promotion sale-a-bration! For every $50 in merchandise you spend, you get a free set from sale-a-bration mini catalog! This is one of my favorite promotions of the year. Don’t miss out!!!!

I like to play with different card sizes to keep things interesting. This card is a 4.25 square that fits comfortably in Stampin Up! Medium Square Envelopes (item #107289).

I started off with my Delicate Dots (sale-a-bration #114674) Designer Series paper. I felt like yellow for my main color. Spring is here, right? I think so. There was snow on the ground this morning. Anyway, I cut and attached to the entire front of the card a piece of yellow patterned paper from this collection (4.25 x 4.25).

Next, I took the striped paper from the set and ran it through my Big Shot using the Scallop Circle Die. I cut the die cut in half and attached it to the top portion of my card.

Whisper White cardstock and a Martha Stewart border punch finished off the bottom portion of my card.

The center of the card utilizes two stamp sets – Polka Dot Punches (sale-a-bration #113788) for the flowers and Hostess Set (level 1) Darling Dots for the leaves. They go well together, don’t you think? I love it when it works out that way!

I stamped my flowers in Bashful Blue ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched them out using the 5 Petal Flower Punch. I layered behind it the same flower in Bashful Blue cardstock. The leaves were stamped in Old Olive and cut out by yours truly. Sorry, no Stampin’ Up! leaf punches yet. Hmmm. Maybe I should send them the idea!

The flowers needed a little something, so I dug into my button stash and found the perfect buttons from the Button Bouquet collection.

Lastly, a sentiment. Love and Happiness Rub-Ons (retired - see possible alternatives under recipe at the bottom of this post) had just the right sentiment in the right color for this card. I love rub-ons. Super easy to add to any creation. Love them!!!

I hope you took advantage of the promotion and if not, you have until midnight Tuesday.

Happy Monday and thank you for visiting my blog today!

Recipe - all supplies from SU! unless otherwise noted:
Stamps: Polka Dot Punches (sale-a-bration), Darling Dots (hostess level 1 set)

Spring has Sprung!

Good morning! I am just writing up a quick little post today because I will be off shortly for some retail therapy. I'm very excited!!!

Spring has sprung, but we actually woke up to a little snow yesterday! Typical Erie, PA weather. I was not surprised. Since the weather didn't look like spring, I thought my creation today would!

The design of the card was created using the card sketch challenge SC219 from Splitcoaststampers website. Click HERE to view the challenge. I made a little matching pillow box using the SU! Pillow Box Bigz Die to add a little something sweet to.

Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for visiting today!
