I {Heart} Hearts

Stampin' Up! exceeded my expectations on their Valentine's Day paper & stamps this year.

Sending Love Specialty paper shines with glittery designs on one side. I tried to capture some of the glitter on the paper in the photo above. Hopefully you can see how subtle it shimmers. You get 12 sheets total which includes two sheets each of the six double-sided designs (12x12). The paper coordinates with Stampin Up Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla card stock.

I let my Big Shot and Punches do most of the work for this Valentines Day card. I used the Stampin' Up! Scallop Circle Bigz Dies and Circles #2 Original Die for the background.

I love my new clear stamps, so I stamped a couple hearts from the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set. If you purchase I {Heart} Hearts, Stampin' Up! will set aside $2 from the sales of this set and donate it to the American Red Cross to go towards Haitian Relief! You'll help make a difference in the lives of those who continue to suffer from the effects of this devastating earthquake.

I {Heart} Hearts also coordinates with the Full Heart and Heart to Heart punches. Sorry to tempt you, but you know how I love coordinating stamps & punches.

I just wanted to thank everyone for your e-mails and well wishes for Brandon. His eye has been healing so quickly and continues to. Every day it looks better & better. Thank you for all your concerns and prayers. God is good!

Enjoy your weekend and happy stamping!!!!

Halloween Treat Bags

At my Stampin' Up! open house several weeks ago, one of my make-and-takes were these cute little Halloween treat bags. They are easily created with your Stampin' Up! Big Shot and the Bag w/Scallops bigz xl die.

I decorated my bag with the new Halloween set, Twick or Tweet, from the holiday mini and the Night & Day Designer Series paper from there as well.

I filled a little clear plastic bag with candy corn and secured it inside the scallop bag with a staple. Be sure to staple it to the backside of the scallop bag so you don't see the staple in the front.

These would be great to send with your kids to school for all their classmates or make some for your co-workers to brighten their day! It's always nice to receive a treat especially in something you made.

If you have any questions on how to make this, please leave me a comment or drop me an e-mail.

Have a wonderful day!

Stampin' Up! Lattice Bigz Die Takes Center Stage

I must say, it's easy to create a card using the Stampin' Up! Lattice Bigz Die! This die does all the work for you. Makes for a quick and easy, yet elegant card!

Here is a list of the Stampin' Up! supplies
I used for this creation:

Stamps: Trendy Trees (#113258 sentiment only)
Ink: Close to Cocoa
Card Stock: Close to Cocoa, Sage Shadow
Designer Series Paper: To The Nines (#114038)
Accessories: Silver Brads
Tools: Big Shot (#113439), Lattice Bigz Die (#115958)

Once you run the Lattice die through your Big Shot, you get all these little shapes to punch out from the cut image. I used them to create a flower at the bottom of the card pictured above, or you could use them as leaves on another creation. I always hate to waste good scraps!
Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini sneak peeks will be coming soon! Wait until you see the new holiday stuff. It's going to be very fun!

Have a great weekend!

SU! Occasions Mini Catalog Has Arrived! No April Fools Here.

Happy April Fools Day! I already had someone at work play a joke on me yesterday. A day early! No fair!

I'll tell you what isn't a joke - the arrival of the new Stampin' Up! occasions mini catalog! It's got some serious stamps, patterned paper, and accessories. Love it, love it, love it!

My creation today utilizes just a few goodies from the new mini catalog. I used Great Friend stamp set, Basic Gray Corduroy Buttons, Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper, and last but not least, Matchbox Bigz XL Die.

This friendship card is 5 inch square in Basic Gray cardstock. I took my Stampin' Up! Circle Scissors Plus, measured in about 2 inches on the card front edge, and trimmed off a half circle. I added coordinating patterned paper on the front and inside. I punched out a small hole on the exposed inside part of the card, on the far right-hand side, to put my ribbon through. On the rounded end of the card front, I added a corduroy button to loop my ribbon around. When you attach the button, leave a little room between the button & paper before fastening. This way, after you open the card, you can loop it back around and tie your bow again. Make sense?

The butterflies were stamped in Whisper White Craft Ink on Basic Gray cardstock. For their little bodies, I added pearls to keep it soft looking. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray on Whisper White cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot to get my diecut image using the Matchbox Bigz Die.

It's been fun playing with the new products and I have so much more to show you! Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you like best from the new mini!

Christmas Party Invitation

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Mine was very nice. Everyone complimented my meal on how delicious it was, but doesn't it always taste better when someone else makes it? Why is that? Oh well.

Were you out Black Friday shopping today? I usually work the day after Thanksgiving, but decided not to this year. It's nice to have a long weekend and a break. I hope to get my house all decorated for Christmas this weekend because I am having a holiday party next Saturday.

Pictured above is the invitation I made for my party. My husband & I host a Bible study once a month and every year I host a Christmas party for them and cook up a big meal all myself. It's my Christmas gift to them.

The card was created by using Bashful Blue Stampin' Up! cardstock. I had some gorgeous silver mirror-like paper that I layered on next. Then I took some Melissa Frances patterned paper and ran it through my Big Shot using the Top Note Bigz Die (SU!). The tree (SU! Snow Swirled - on sale through Tiffany's Cardtique this month-see sidebar) was stamped and embossed in silver. I also embossed "You're Invited" (SU! Sincere Salutations) in silver as well. My invitees were very impressed with this invitation. I love that!!!!

Don't forget about the big Stampin' Up! sale going on right now - Holiday Extravaganza! There are some really cheap prices on products. Take advantage of the sale. It ends December 1st. Supplies are limited so don't wait too long. You can e-mail me your order tiffanymiller1@verizon.net or order online directly through my SU! website.

Enjoy your Black Friday!

Christmas & Sizzix!

Hello friends!

If you need to make mass quantities of Christmas cards, like I do, your Sizzix Big Shot can be a big helper. In the current Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini, they have this big Sizzix Scallop Circle Bigz Die. It was love at first sight for me. You will see me use this quite often I'm sure!

I used the scallop circle die to make a bunch of these Christmas cards. I cut out one scallop circle and cut it in half to get two cards done at a time. Then I used my circle Nestabilities to cut out a circle to stamp my holiday sentiment on and layer on top the scallop.

My Christmas paper stash is out of control. Can you relate? I have like 15 sheets of this beautiful holly paper by Anna Griffin. All I did was layer it on a couple pieces of Stampin' Up! cardstock and stuck my circles underneath it. I covered up the seams with cream colored ric-rac and attached a Making Memories poinsettia. What do you think?

Can you believe Christmas is approximately 2 months away! The time is going to fly. Have fun crafting and stamping over next couple months. I love to bake so on top of crafting, I will be baking tons of cookies too!

Have a wonderful day and God bless you!

There's a new big shot in town--the Sizzix Big Shot for Stampin' Up!

It's Saturday and I hope you are having a good one!

I am so excited because there is some exciting news with Stampin' Up! They have teamed up with Sizzix to offer the Big Shot machine along with dies that will only be sold exclusively through Stampin' Up! I saw a sneak peek of these dies, and they are cool.

So what does this little machine do? The Big Shot is a sturdy manual die cutting machine used to die cut materials for use on crafts, home décor projects, and even clothing--it's a big deal! The Big Shot is a 6-time winner of Creating Keepsakes Reader's Choice Award for best die cutting equipment and dies. Another good point to make it the Big Shot works with ALL competitive dies, embossing folders, and Nestabilities. The steel rule dies can cut through an impressive list of 50 different materials, including fabric, foil, and chipboard. The Big Shot ($99.95) and exclusive Stampin' Up! dies will be available to order beginning September 2nd. Any questions, drop me line and I'll have the answer for you. Don't forget, first time customers get -20% off discount!!!
