Scrapping!

I'm almost finished with my first 6x6 scrapbook album! I've never done any this small. I usually do the 12x12 ones. I think I enjoy the 6x6 more because you are more limited by the amount of pictures and embellishments. It's so much quicker!

I am especially proud of this album for two reasons. First, it's the first book I've completed using all Stampin' Up! products. Secondly, it's a book filled with all my favorite pictures of Brandon photographed alone. This book is just all about him! I know I will enjoy looking at it over and over again.

The page photographed at the top of this post was created using a sheet from the Stampin Up Welcome Neighbor Designer Series Paper Pad which you can receive FREE from the Sale-A-Bration flyer. I also used stamps from three different collections. The complete list of supplies can be found at the bottom of this post.

I am so glad tomorrow is Friday. TGIF! I can't wait to stamp some more this weekend and finish my album. Fun, fun, fun!

Have a good one!

With All My Heart

Is this card full of hearts of what? I used Stampin' Up! White Craft Ink to ink up the Victorian looking heart from the I {Heart} Hearts stamp collection. I love the white on red. The little decorative heart border on the bottom was punched out using the newly designed punches from Stampin' Up! called Pinking Hearts Border. Isn't it adorable?

Are you ready for Valentines Day next Sunday? Today I finished up my Valentines and treats to send my sister and nephews. It's all packaged up and ready to mail tomorrow. This week I need to work on the most important Valentine - the one for my hubby!

I did learn a really good tip from my Stampin' Up! upline this past week about the new clear stamps from Stampin Up. I've experienced trouble with the stamp sticking to the block. She told me to hold the stamp on the block for a full 3 seconds. I tried it out and ever since I've had no trouble. The 3 second rule also works to get them to cling inside the case they come in too. I'm so glad I learned this trick and I hope this helps you out as well!

I'm off to a Super Bowl party! Happy stamping!

Sending Love

I really love to make little altered treat containers with matching cards for Valentines Day. My mother is going to be the recipient of the little ensemble pictured above. The little band aid container is filled with Dove Chocolate hearts . . . her favorite!

My package of Stampin Up Sending Love Specialty paper is disappearing fast! Between scrapbook pages, treat containers, and Valentine cards, I may need to order another package before long. It's just one of those paper packs where you will truly love each and every design.

If you are looking for that perfect sentiment like the "love you much" on my card, take a peek at the Stampin Up set Well Scripted. You get birthday, Easter, love, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, and congratulations all in one set. The script looks very classy, don't you think?

All the Stampin' Up! supplies used on the tin and card can be found at the bottom of this post. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to e-mail me!

TGIF in a big way! I'm having a dinner party Saturday evening and Sunday I get to take Brandon to one of his classmates birthday party. Very fun!

Enjoy your weekend and happy stamping!

I {Heart} Hearts

Stampin' Up! exceeded my expectations on their Valentine's Day paper & stamps this year.

Sending Love Specialty paper shines with glittery designs on one side. I tried to capture some of the glitter on the paper in the photo above. Hopefully you can see how subtle it shimmers. You get 12 sheets total which includes two sheets each of the six double-sided designs (12x12). The paper coordinates with Stampin Up Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla card stock.

I let my Big Shot and Punches do most of the work for this Valentines Day card. I used the Stampin' Up! Scallop Circle Bigz Dies and Circles #2 Original Die for the background.

I love my new clear stamps, so I stamped a couple hearts from the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set. If you purchase I {Heart} Hearts, Stampin' Up! will set aside $2 from the sales of this set and donate it to the American Red Cross to go towards Haitian Relief! You'll help make a difference in the lives of those who continue to suffer from the effects of this devastating earthquake.

I {Heart} Hearts also coordinates with the Full Heart and Heart to Heart punches. Sorry to tempt you, but you know how I love coordinating stamps & punches.

I just wanted to thank everyone for your e-mails and well wishes for Brandon. His eye has been healing so quickly and continues to. Every day it looks better & better. Thank you for all your concerns and prayers. God is good!

Enjoy your weekend and happy stamping!!!!

Love You Much

We had a little scare last night! My little guy, pictured above, ran down our hallway and turned to go into his room and his eye caught the doorknob. OMG! He is screaming and crying. I took one look at him and there was blood in his eye, swelling, and it just looked gross! We ran him to the emergency room and thankfully everything is ok. Today it was all swollen & sore and he looked like someone punched him good. He has a pretty big cut from the inner corner lid to outside the lid. Hard to explain. Needless to say, I'm home from work today taking care of him. He is napping right now. He is ok though!

It was fitting to post a 6x6 scrapbook page of him today expressing how much I love him. When your little ones get hurt, it's so hard to take.

All the supplies used on this scrapbook layout are from Stampin' Up! Don't be afraid to incorporate stamps into your layouts. I used Love You Much stamp set and embellished it with a Library Clip, ribbon, flower, & brad. The decorative edge was created using the Scallop Trim Border Punch which you can get free with any $50 purchase from Stampin' Up! E-mail me for more details!

The 6x6 scrapbook album (pictured at the top of this post in the background) is the perfect fit for this layout. It's a Stampin' Up! linen ring-bound album with 10 top-loading page protectors included. I love the ring-bound because you can take pages in and out or rearrange without a hassle. This is definitely the best scrapbook album I've ever owned. The quality is superb!

I think Brandon is waking up so I better go. I hope you enjoyed viewing one of my scrapbook pages today!

Have a good day and happy stamping!

Vintage Vogue

Strike a pose . . . Vogue! Remember the hit song by Madonna? Too fun! For some reason, that song came to mind when I saw what Stampin' Up! named this vintage style stamp set, Vintage Vogue. Isn't it cool? This set is brand new from the Occasions Mini Catalog! It comes in both wood and clear mounted.

Take a peek on the right to see how the new Stampin' Up! clear sets are packaged! They come in a sturdy plastic DVD-like case. They are already cut for you and all you have to do is stick the image on. Very easy! The spine of the case has the name of the set on it as well as a picture of all the stamps inside. They thought of everything! One other thing . . . they are CHEAPER than the wood mounted. Bonus! Easier storage and less money. I love them!!!

I had a Stampin' Up! display and make-n-take table at a local scrapbooking crop this weekend. What fun! The card, CASED from Lori Rider, pictured at the top of this post was one everyone could make. We first created a border around the Soft Suede piece. The cascade of flowers was stamped on Whisper White card stock and inked with Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede. To achieve different tones of one color, ink your image with a strong color and stamp repeatedly without re-inking. This technique is called Stamping Off.

Well, it's time for me to head off to work. I'd rather be stamping!!!!

Enjoy your day and happy stamping!

Seeing Stars

I finally got back into my craft cave! Before I dive into my newest products, I had to make a quick baby card. Punches can be a lifesaver when your time is limited. The only stamping on this card is the sentiment. I just love Stampin’ Up! Star punches. If you like them, buy them both because you’ll have regrets if you don’t. Also, don’t forget about the Stampin Up Seeing Stars stamp set that coordinates beautifully with these punches too. I’m always attracted to coordinating stamps and punches because it makes it easy!

Our house guests left on Sunday and I’ve been busy catching up on housework and taking down Christmas decorations. I've been bringing out my Valentines Day decorations to add some more color back to my house as I put away the Christmas stuff.

We’ve had more snow than you can imagine and the only one happy about that is my son Brandon. He could play in the snow all day if you let him. He gets to sled ride at my sitters house. She has a nice hill in her backyard. The other morning as we were arriving at her house Brandon asks me “do you get to sled ride at work?” Ha! I wish I could go sled riding at work. Gotta love the questions of a 4 yr old!

Have a wonderful day & happy stamping!

P.S. Don't forget to take advantage of the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration going on! Free stamps for every $50 you spend!!!!
