Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog Preview!

Hello Everyone!

It's been a rough week and it's only Tuesday! I blew out a tire on the way to work today. I'm always in a hurry because I have to get my son ready in the morning along with me, take him to the sitter, and make it to work by 8am. This morning I took a turn too sharp and hit the sidewalk which was all broken up and "pop" goes the tire. It wasn't a good way to start the day. My good friend reminded me though - life happens!

Birthday's happen too! A friend at work just had a birthday Sunday, so I made her this cute little tin filled with Hershey Nuggets and a matching card. You probably don't recognize the stamp set and patterned paper? That's because it's a preview of what is to come in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog being released October 1st! The tree and leaves comes from a new set called "Season of Friendship". It also includes a snowflake, bird, and flower to put on your tree. A tree for all seasons! The patterned paper is amazing! It's called "Autumn Vine". I just love it!

I have a wonderful event taking place here at Tiffany's Cardtique on October 4th! In case you haven't heard, October 4th is National Card Making Day. I am going to have demonstrations, giveaways, and cards (of course) to inspire you to create. I am also going to be releasing my first card kit for sale! Going to the Chapel!

Are you singing along to the title of this blog posting? Last night I had to make a quick wedding card for today. I think this turned out pretty elegant just going with mostly white and a little black. All I did was emboss with a Cuttlebug embossing folder the front of the card. I used my large oval Nestabilities to cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock I stamped my sentiment on. The sentiment comes from the Stampin' Up! set Sincere Salutations (item#105156). I use this set all the time because it has a sentiment for every occasion and I just love the script. I also decorated the envelope for this card. I embossed another piece of white cardstock using the same embossing folder and used the oval Nestabilities to cut out a frame. I had from Quote Stacks (DCWV) this vellum "Newlyweds" piece and put the frame over that. I hope they like it!

Pizza Anyone? Mini Pizza Box Tutorial

I love pizza! Actually, I love anything Italian!!! Back to pizza though, how cool are the boxes they come in? Did you ever think about it? I have created these mini pizza boxes to hold a cookie, candy, 3x3 cards, etc. The possibilities are endless! They are so cute and easy to make. You'll love this tutorial!

Supplies You'll Need:
Scor-Pal (or any other means of scoring tools you may use)
6x11 piece of heavy cardstock or double sided patterned paper
Adhesive
Scissors
Mini Pizza Box Tutorial
1) Across the short side of your 6"x11" cardstock, score 1" in from both sides.

2) Across the long side, score at 1", 5", 6" and 10".

3) Cut along the dotted lines as shown in diagram on the left.

4) Fold along score lines into a box, and secure flaps with adhesive as you go along.

I'm Batty for You! Halloween Card

So who are you Batty for this Halloween? I'm Batty over this awesome Stampin' Up! set "Batty for You" on page 28 of your new catalog. I actually bought it last year when it was in the mini catalog and used it a little last year. I couldn't wait to pull it out this year and combine it with one of the new Cuttlebug embossing folders called "Boo to You". It's a perfect match, isn't it?

This Halloween card was actually so simple to make. After I embossed on SU! Elegant Eggplant cardstock with the Cuttlebug folder, I layered it on a black card and paper pierced completely around the edge with the help of Stampin' Up! Mat Pack. I added black/white grosgrain ribbon to the center and used my Stampin' Up! Scallop Circle and 1 3/8" circle punches to stamp on. I also paper pierced on each scallop and used a white uni-ball Signo Gel Pen to outline the piercing. Cute and easy - that's how we like it!

My Favorite Season Has Arrived!

Hello Friends!

Fall has arrived and I love it! I got to pull out and wear my jean jacket today. It was pretty cool and rainy today. I could pass on the rain, but I love those crisp autumn days!

I took my son to get some new shoes this morning and then to a Leaf Festival. We didn't stay long because of the rain, but we got to pet a bunch of animals and listen to a band. My son loves music and he was just mesmerized by the band there.

When we got home it was nap time! I'm sure it's clear to you what I did during that time - stamp! Actually I did a little stamping, embossing, and punching on this card. Have you checked out the new season of Cuttlebug embossing folders? OMG - they are awesome! This one is called Pumpkin Harvest. Isn't it pretty?! The bottom half of the card is just the cutest paper I've had forever in my stash . I used some black & white grosgrain ribbon for the center and stamped on and layered chipboard leaves from American Crafts. I used Fiskars Threading Water punch (or you could use Stampin' Up! Scallop Edge punch) for a black decorative edge on the one side.

Hero Arts Dandelion

I love to use a variety of products when I make a card. I rarely use all of just one company, and if I do, it's Stampin' Up! Stampin' Up! has coordinating patterned papers, ribbons, buttons, felt flowers, brads, etc. They make it easy for those of us with not a lot of time, or who may have trouble coordinating products.

In addition to Stampin' Up! products, I also have many Hero Arts stamps. I bought this stamp several months ago and the name of it is "Dandelion" (G4917). I just loved how delicate it looks.

I used Stampin' Up! Creamy Caramel for the circular background and Chocolate Chip for the Dandelion and sentiment. I stamped it on cream colored mulberry paper and tore the edges to keep the delicate theme going. I layered everything on Stampin' Up! cardstock and patterned paper. The fibers are from JoAnn's $1 bin. Don't pass by those $1 bins because you never know what goodies you might find!

Coaster Album of Colors

Hello everyone!

I keep thinking today is Monday. This week should fly by!

Did you enjoy your last long weekend of summer? I sure did. I completed this coaster album for Stamps-Paper-Scissors. It was a design team project I was assigned, to create something out of these blank coasters. I am teaching my son his colors, so I decided to make him a bright cheerful little book of colors he can carry around with him. It was a great way to use up some supplies too! I used a little of everything from all different companies. It was fun to create. If you see something you would like to know where it's from, drop me an e-mail. Potty training is going ok. I like things done right away, so this task is a little frustrating for me. He is doing well though and I encourage him as much as possible.
