Happy Fall

What do I love most about fall? EVERYTHING!!!!

I love the cooler temperature, the gorgeous color of the leaves, bright orange pumpkins adorning my doorstep, and the fragrance of a cinnamon pumpkin spice candle lingering throughout my home. I also feel very crafty this time of year. Not sure why?

Lawn Fawn has not let me down with their latest fall release. Sweater Weather is the perfect stamp set for your autumn themed cards. With cute little leaves, acorn, apple, heart, and flowers . . . you can use this set year-round. Don't forget about the matching die set too. I used the tree from the die set and stamped the tiniest leaves in the set all around the tree in different colors. I distressed the edges of the Very Vanilla cardstock using the Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain.

Grateful for Fall

Fall has arrived! I don't know if it's official yet, but after Labor Day weekend I call it fall. I'm a little anxious because it's my favorite season! I had a wonderful long weekend with family. We went to an amusement park, had a picnic, built a campfire, went to an outdoor concert, and saw fireworks. I think I was a little too busy because I came down with a horrible cold the other day! I went to the doctor today and got a prescription, so hopefully I'll be better by the weekend.

Among all my travels this past weekend, I was amazed at how many trees have leaves that are already changing colors! It inspired me to use the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper, Autumn Traditions. What perfect paper for fall themed cards or scrapbook pages. I stamped the leaves at the top of the card using the Falling Leaves stamp set, and then cut them out Paper Snips which are great for cutting into the tiniest of areas. Paper Snips are a must have!

The recipe for this creation can be found at the bottom of the post. You'll notice I used some ribbon from my Ribbon Originals share! This set, Orchard, coordinates with the Autumn Traditions paper. That's what I love about SU! They make it easy to create with everything that coordinates!

Please leave me a comment and let me know if you are a fall season lover or not? If you have a favorite fall themed stamp set, I'd love to know that too! I love Falling Leaves and Season of Friendship.

If you need further directions on how to create the card pictured today, please drop me an e-mail HERE and I'll be glad to help you.

Enjoy and have a wonderful day!

My Favorite Season Has Arrived!

Hello Friends!

Fall has arrived and I love it! I got to pull out and wear my jean jacket today. It was pretty cool and rainy today. I could pass on the rain, but I love those crisp autumn days!

I took my son to get some new shoes this morning and then to a Leaf Festival. We didn't stay long because of the rain, but we got to pet a bunch of animals and listen to a band. My son loves music and he was just mesmerized by the band there.

When we got home it was nap time! I'm sure it's clear to you what I did during that time - stamp! Actually I did a little stamping, embossing, and punching on this card. Have you checked out the new season of Cuttlebug embossing folders? OMG - they are awesome! This one is called Pumpkin Harvest. Isn't it pretty?! The bottom half of the card is just the cutest paper I've had forever in my stash . I used some black & white grosgrain ribbon for the center and stamped on and layered chipboard leaves from American Crafts. I used Fiskars Threading Water punch (or you could use Stampin' Up! Scallop Edge punch) for a black decorative edge on the one side.

I hope your weekend is a great one and thank you for taking the time to stop by!
