Razzle

Ever go through your stamp collection and realize you forgot about a set you had? That was the case with my Stampin' Up! Razzle Dazzle set. I keep my stamps in drawers & this one was tucked away in the back. It was like finding a treasure!

I only colored a portion of the flower stamp with my Stampin' Up! markers. The Stampin' Up! markers really come in handy when you want to stamp in multiple colors at the same time. Razzle Dazzle coordinates perfectly with the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper. Another little treasure.

The new Stampin' Up! Summer Mini is due out in a couple weeks and it's HOT! Wait until you see all the new goodies. I can't wait to share them with you. Stay tuned!

Enjoy your day & happy stamping!

A Thought Away

Does is feel like Spring yet? The buds are out and before you know it, you'll see flowers like the one on my card. Can't wait!

The Stampin' Up! patterned paper is from Welcome Neighbor (past Sale-A-Bration) for the flower and Sweet Pea (Occasions Mini) for the background.

I created the flower using the Stampin' Up! Extra Large Fancy Flower punch and a couple of flowers from the Flower Fusion collection. I wish I could tell you where the extra wide ric-rac is from, but it's been in my stash for a long time.

Have fun and happy stamping!

FYI . . .

Create a card using your Stampin' Up! Bigz Dies! I used the Stampin' Up! Scallop Square Bigz Die to create this card. All you need to do is cut out two scallop squares. Score 1/2" on one edge of one square. Fold it inwards and attach it to the other scallop square. See the indentation on my card pictured above. E-mail me if you have any questions.

You could also make cards out of the Stampin' Up! Top Note and Scallop Circle die. Give it a try this week and let me know how you do!

Not many of you could resist the Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch in the current Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. Who could blame you? I gave my bird a little Bella Bleu wing to match the pattern on his birdhouse.

Have a great day & happy stamping!

Easter Wishes

Easter is right around the corner! Don't these cute little chicks look festive or are you too distracted by the foiled covered milk chocolate eggs? Mmmm! My photography skills are lacking, so I thought the little props might enhance my photo.

I love to emboss! The very first card making class I ever took was an embossing class. They utilized the old brass embossing templates and a stylus with a light table. I was so thrilled with the technique and what I created, I bought everything I needed to emboss and went to town with it! I still have my old collection of brass templates. Stampin' Up! still sells some of these on page 188 in the IB&C. I am totally spoiled now with my Big Shot and embossing folders which make things much easier and quicker!

My new favorite embossing product is Stampin' Up! Texturz Plates. The one I used for the chicks white background on this Easter card is called Perfect Details. The Texturz Plates come double-sided and measure 8" x 5-7/8". You simply run them through your Big Shot using the Multipurpose Platform, Impressions Pad, and Silicone Rubber. Stampin Up sells three different packages of these.

I'm off to buy my Easter ham and maybe some more foiled eggs. The ones in the picture . . . gone!

Enjoy your Sunday and happy stamping!
