New Stampin Up Catalog Products Wedding Card - For the Newlyweds

What is clear, plastic, designer printed, and nearly effortless to use to create a card with? Stampin' Up! Printed Window Sheets!

My heart skipped a beat when I saw 2 new sets of them in the Stampin' Up! 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog! I get way too excited over this stuff, I know.

The window sheet on the wedding card I created today is from the current mini catalog expiring tomorrow, but rest assured - it's also available to order from the new catalog on July 1st! These Printed Window Sheets are perfect for overlays and photo frames. You'll see them again on this blog. Hee hee! Click HERE for my 4th of July card. Aren't they fun?!

I really enjoyed creating this card because I'm a big fan of black & white. The supply list will be provided at the end of the post.

I will fill you in on a few details about creating this card:

1) The sentiment in the scallop circle is from a new set in the 2009-2010 Stampin' Up! Catalog. It's called Teeny Tiny Wishes. There is nothing "Teeny" about how many stamps you get in this set or how much use you'll get out of it. It's a set of 24 with all the different holidays and occasions you can think of!

2) I outlined the little scallops with the fine tip end of the Basic Black marker.

3) I cut a slit for the ribbon at the top of the card using a Hobby Blade. I punched a small circle at the top and bottom of the scallop circle. I thread the ribbon through the holes, folded them over, trimmed, and secured with a brad through the entire card front. This will hold the window sheet in place as well. No glue or tape marks - bonus!

4) I attached the entire black card on a piece of Whisper White cardstock as a base for the card. It really makes your card a little different from the rest when you add this type of background.

Just a reminder, you will be able to order from the new Stampin' Up! Catalog this Wednesday, July 1st after 12pm. Please be patient when ordering online. My site will be busy which slows things down a bit.

Have a great day!

Tiffany

Stampin' Up! 2009-2010 New "In Color" Sneak Peek

I mentioned a few posts ago I'm getting ready for a crafting garage sale in July. Upon weeding through my stamp collection & deciding what to get rid of and what to keep, I came across this stamp from Stampabilities and just love the verse:

Ask and it shall be given to you;
Seek and ye shall find;
Knock and it shall be opened unto you.
Luke 11:9

The challenge in getting ready for this sale is what to keep and what not to. My rule is if I haven't used it in the last 3 years and I don't absolutely love it, it's going. Sound good? If you have any other suggestions, please let me know! What a task it has been!

This week Stampin' Up! is releasing the new catalog on July 1st!!!! I received my complimentary book and I just LOVE so much in there. I'm excited to share it with you! Here is a sneak peek of the new "In Colors" which are breathtaking!
If you would like a catalog, the cost is only $9.95 - shipping/handling is free! I added PayPal button on my right sidebar to make it easy for you to purchase your catalog. If you would like to pay by check, drop me an e-mail at tiffanyscardtique@verizon.net.

Just a reminder too . . . the last day to order any retiring stamps from the Stampin' Up! Last Chance List is June 30th!

So Long Curly Label Bundle

Good morning stampers! I'm recovering this morning from a lengthy dentist appointment I had last night after work. No fun! Thank God it's over with! The dentist is not one of my favorite places to be.

Before I head to work, I wanted to remind you that you can order from the Last Chance list until June 30th. One of my favorite Stampin' Up! items used above, Curly Label Bundle, is retiring. Boo hoo! Rest assured, the new catalog has some new punches and matching stamp sets that are just as cute!

To create today's "thank you" card using the Curly Label Bundle follow these directions:

1) Create a 4x4 card using Chocolate Chip cardstock

2) Cut and set aside a 3.75x3.75 piece of Delicate Dots (retired) patterned paper for the card front

3) Stamp in Real Red the "thank you" stamp from the Curly Label Bundle and punch out.

4) Punch out two slots on either side using the Horizontal Slot punch

5) Take a 10 inch long piece of Riding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and wrap around the patterned paper and through the slots. Tie to the side.

6) Adhere the patterned paper to the front of the card

7) Add a little flower from the Flower Fusion II set with a gold brad in the center

I'm off to get ready for work! Tonight I have a much needed hair appointment. I'm ready for something new, but my husband is not. :)

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all those father's visiting my blog today! I want to send special wishes & prayers to those who are serving overseas in the military and cannot be with their loved ones today. God bless and thank you for your service!

My little one was at it again! I had him decorate a photo cube (Making Memories) for my husband for Father's Day and I attached pictures of them together on the cube. He used markers & glitter glue. He LOVES glitter glue. Too funny!

The card above is the one I made for my husband. He has become a wonderful father and I am truly blessed to share this journey with him. He's come a long way since that first year! The picture below is from his first Father's Day. Time sure does fly! My father died from cancer about 15+ years ago and that's hard to believe! Time is precious. Never take it for granted.

Have a wonderful day!

The Tassel Is Worth The Hassle

I have a graduation party to attend tomorrow and I made this little card to put the gift of cash in!

The little graduation cap is a stamp from the retired Stampin' Up! set, Sketch An Event. I stamped the cap in black ink on Whisper White cardstock. I cut it out completely leaving a little white edge around it. You can either cut around the tassel like I did, or make little slits to fringe it. It's cute either way . . .
The Tassel Is Worth The Hassle!

If you don't have the set Sketch An Event in your Stampin' Up! collection, an even more attractive replacement for this stamp is one from the Great Grads set in the current catalog (item #114976). It includes some "congratulations" stamps which can be used for other occasions in addition to graduation. I love sets that are versatile like that.

Have a fun weekend and I'll be back soon. Thank you for stopping by!

Stampin' Up! 2009-2010 Catalog Arrival!

I was very excited to receive the mail yesterday! Not only did I get my Stampin' Up! pre-order items from the new catalog, I received a copy of the new catalog! Whoo-hoo! I already started my wish list and it's pretty long.

Two items I am very happy to see in the new Stampin' Up! catalog is the set Oval All and Scallop Oval Punch that are currently in the mini catalog! I used both items in the card above. Sorry about the bad picture. I struggled to capture the embossed background. I layered white on white for the background. I embossed a 4x5.5 inch piece of Whisper White cardstock and glued that to the front of the card. It looks a little more elegant in person. Again, my picture taking skills are a work in progress. :)

I did a little shopping at Kohls tonight. The store was packed because they were having a big sale. I had to shop for a birthday present for a 15 year old girl. It made me feel old because I felt a little clueless about what to get. She wears jewelry all the time so I found an adorable necklace with her initial and a little charm on a chain. Teenage girls like to shop so I bought her an Old Navy gift card to go with it. Do you think I did ok? I'll let you know how it goes. The birthday party is Saturday.

Wish me luck! Have a wonderful day!

Back in Black

Hello friends! I hope you are enjoying the summer. Can you believe it's mid-June? Wow! The release of the new Stampin' Up! catalog is weeks away. My pre-order items should arrive this week. I've been trying to use up my old stuff and I'm getting ready for a craft garage sale coming up at our local scrapbook store. I reserved a table to hopefully sell a lot of my older stuff I don't use anymore.
Does the patterned paper on the card above look familiar? It's from the last Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration. I still have a few sheets left from the pack called Delicate Dots. The colors really pop with just a touch of black behind the patterned paper and Kraft cardstock (Back in Black - hee hee). Black can really make your card creations striking especially when paired with brights colors. Keep that in mind!

Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting!
