Customized Buttons

I am just crazy about the new Stampin' Up! Bitty Buttons available in the Summer Mini Catalog. They come clear so you can customize them any way you want. Along with being cute, they are inexpensive too. You get 64 for under $5. The Punch Pack coordinates with these button sizes. All you need to do is layer the punched image behind the clear Bitty Buttons for your own custom embellishment. I used solid color card stock to match the patterned paper.

The card pictured above was inspired by the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge (PPA44) today. I enjoy sketch challenges once in awhile. It's amazing to see all the different creations people come up with using a single sketch.

Enjoy your day and happy stamping!

Give Thanks

I get to host Thanksgiving dinner at my house every year. Last year I made handmade place cards with the Stampin' Up! Top Note Die. This year I'm making these little treats for everyone to take home. I used the SU! Top Note Die by folding it in half and securing the treat bag between the fold.

It's a little early for Thanksgiving, but the PPA10 theme challenge this week is gratitude and thanks. I'm a gift giver, so making little tokens of affection to hand out at my Thanksgiving gathering is right up my alley!

Before I had Brandon, I would do crazy stuff like make homemade applesauce and jar it with handmade decorative jar lids and matching tags. I was often nicknamed Martha! Hee hee!

I spent the morning with my son at the zoo, and now it's time for a little housework. The weekends fly, don't they? Be sure to take some time to stamp. That's what I'll be doing after I clean! Have a good one!

Recipe for "Give Thanks" treat bag covers:

Ink: Always Artichoke, Creamy Caramel

Need A Little Stampin Up Pickup?

Then the Loads of Love & Loads of Love Accessories stamp sets from Stampin' Up! is just what you need!

I have a friend who recently moved and as we all know, moving is stressful and tiring! I thought I would send her this card to "pickup" her day.

The pickup was colored in using Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens. I was looking for a soft look since its recipient is a female. All I did was pencil in a little color with the Watercolor Pencils, and blended/softened the hue with the Blender Pens. They are very easy to work with. If you add too much color, brush your Blender Pen over it to catch some of the color and rub it off on scrap paper. Need more color? Add more with your Watercolor Pencil and blend again until you have the desired shade.

For more uses and tips on Blender Pens click HERE.

Summer is going by fast! Last night my husband & I went to see an Abba tribute band. What a blast! They looked, dressed, and sang just like Abba. It was awesome! Everyone was dancing and singing along. Too fun!

Take care and drop me a comment letting me know what kind of fun you are having this summer?

Thanks for visiting!

A Good Card To Always Have On Hand

Sympathy cards are not my favorite kind of cards to make. It's always good to keep a sympathy card around for those unexpected times. I've had people ask to buy one from me, so it's not a bad thing for a card maker/stamper to have on hand.
When I first saw the Stampin' Up! set Close As a Memory, I knew it would be a keeper. I didn't have any sympathy stamp sets and this one was so beautiful and perfect to me. This set makes it easy to create a beautiful, quick card.

I used Night of Navy for my card base. I stamped the flowers in Whisper White Craft Ink all over the front of the card. Be careful when working with Craft Ink - it takes some time to dry! You can speed the process by waving your heat tool back & forth over it to dry quicker.

I stamped in Night of Navy ink "With Heartfelt Sympathy" on Whisper White cardstock (2.75 x 1.25) and mounted it on Night of Navy cardstock (3 x 1.50). I attached this piece to the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

My new love is Stampin' Up! Mini Library Clips. OMG! True love upon opening the little container they come in. A few customers of mine ordered them & I just didn't get the draw. I thought they would be too bulky and hard to send through the mail on a card. Boy was I wrong! These things are so tiny and cute I'm ready to order a second set!!! I get a little nutty over things sometimes. Forgive me!!! Try them, you will love them! I added a clip to my sentiment to finish it off.

Have a wonderful day and check back soon! Thanks for visiting!!!
