I am quite pleased with the way my beach glass snowmen turned out on these cards. These were really fun to make! I am lucky enough to live about 15-20 minutes away from the beach. All summer my son & I collected beach glass every time we visited the beach.I wanted my snowmen to be the center of attention on these cards, so I used Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock for all the layers. I used scallop rectangular Nestabilities for two layers and ran the largest one through my Big Shot using a snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder. The smaller rectangular piece with the snowman is mounted on pop dots. I used BIC Mark It fine point permanent markers to detail my snowman. They are awesome markers that dry instantly. Love it! The "Merry Christmas" stamp from Hero Arts was stamped in Real Red and Handsome Hunter from Stampin' Up!

Absolutely love the beach glass. So creative. I'm surprised you'll want to part with these. Beach glass is tough to come by these days with the jewelry craze, no? Now beach-goers who are card-makers will be collecting it, too. If you don't have access to beach glass (I don't) what would be a good substitute with the same effect?

I love beach glass(or sea glass as we call it in New England) and this is a great idea! I'm not one to part with my sea glass, but I could see myself making a winter/holiday decoration with the same idea. What did you adhere the beach glass with so it's secure?
