Beate's Weekend Sketch WSC #41

Hello everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was quite busy, but I managed to get Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge done and uploaded on Splitcoaststampers. Everything but the brad and ribbon is Stampin Up! The paper collection is Recollections and the stamp set is Think Happy Thoughts. I love this set because it can be used in conjunction with the poplar scallop punch! I used Chocolate Chip and Baroque Burgundy ink. Simple, yet elegant card. Thanks for the great layout Beate!

Last night I decided to sort out my "scraps". Do you know what I'm talking about? It's those pieces of card stock and patterned paper that are left over from your project that you think you can still make use of. I am embarrassed to admit how small some of my scraps were, and I still kept them! Can anyone relate? Please let me know I am not alone! I have been on a mission since the new year to get organized and I'm almost done.

I did this card a couple weeks ago, using scraps I saved. See, I did use them! The "friends" stamp is from Art Impressions and brackets stamp by 7gypsies. The "Miss U" are rub-on letters. Flower is from Bazzill. Patterned paper is MME. I inked the edges with Colorbox Chalks.

I will be posting the scrapbook layout I did of the Easter egg hunt I took my son on at our local zoo shortly. I used Bo Bunny - Spring Jewels product line. It came out really colorful.

Have a good day!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I hope you are having a wonderful holiday.

The last of my guests just left and I'm tired.

I cooked for only 8 people, but it's a lot to prepare. It's all good though!

Friday night my husband & I took our son to see the Easter bunny at the mall. The picture turned out great and both Grandmothers would surely want their copy. I created this card that opens up and stands on it's own to display his picture. They loved it!

Saturday we took Brandon to the zoo on an Easter egg hunt. It was only 30 degrees but we had a good time. The hunt was set up inside as were most of the activities. It was a good time. I couldn't wait to scrapbook my pictures, so ended up going to bed way too late to get the layout done. Everyone enjoyed looking at the pictures today.

I hope you had a wonderful Easter! God bless you!

Spring Is In The Air!

Happy first day of Spring!

It doesn't feel much like spring weatherwise, but in your local scrapbook store I'm sure it does!

I bought some of this paper from imaginisce "For Peeps's Sake". It's Easter and very spring-like. It's double sided so you can really make use out of this paper for cards! The ribbon is from American Crafts.

I'd love to see the spring and Easter cards your working on! E-mail me a photo or link to your cards and I may choose yours to post on my site!

Happy Day After St. Patricks Day!

Somehow, my post yesterday got screwed up and the picture disappeared. Oh well. I am still learning how to blog.

Anyways, I love the DCWV Spring line of paper and stickers. This card was made from that line. The flower on the tab is glittered in the center so I grabbed my glitter pen and dotted the centers of the flowers in the patterened paper. It's very subtle and soft looking. The stamp is by Hero Arts.

I hope you had a great St. Patricks Day and hopefully next year I will have a holiday themed card to share with you.

Scrapbook Pages!

Easter is only a week away! Boy, is it early this year!

These scrapbook pages are from my son's first Easter in 2006. I got this blue one piece bunny outfit and everyone got a big kick out of it. I used my Cricut for the "Easter Bunny" letters in this layout. I love my Cricut!

I hope you had a great weekend and I'll have some more cards and scrapbook pages soon.

I'm in love . . .

with Riley the Moose (Hanna Stamps)! Yes, another card, different stamp, with my buddy! He is soooooooooo cute!
This paper was in my collection and I thought was a perfect match for the design! Unfortunately, there is no manufacturers name on the paper whatsoever. Weird! It fits and I got to use up some of my stash!

The border on the side of the moose stamp I created myself! I used my SU! slot punch and Crop-A-Dile to create it. Clever, isn't it? I had to play around with my scraps a little to figure it out just right, but it didn't take long. Wanna know how? Let me know & I'll post a tutorial!
Well, my son is in bed and my husband is reading. Sounds like a perfect time to stamp or scrapbook!

Good night and sweet dreams!
